SENIOR VISUAL COMMUNICATION DESIGNER

Job Description

IDEO is seeking a Senior Visual Communication Designer with strong graphic design and visual storytelling skills. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to turn research, strategy, and ideas into polished visual experiences across branding, digital products, motion, packaging, and other media.

Responsibilities

• • Translate research and strategy into compelling visual narratives.
• • Develop and express brand identities across different mediums.
• • Create prototypes to explore and communicate design directions.
• • Design digital, physical, and hybrid experiences.
• • Produce visual deliverables that communicate user stories and strategic objectives.
• • Collaborate with teams across healthcare, financial services, consumer products, and other industries.
• • Advocate for strong visual craft through experimentation, iteration, and collaboration.

Requirements

• • Relevant experience or educational background in graphic or interactive design.
• • Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, design craft, and visual storytelling.
• • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• • Familiarity with After Effects and prototyping platforms.
• • Comfort using Google Slides, FigJam, and Figma Slides for presentations.
• • Experience with brand identities, brand systems, and implementation guidelines.
• • Understanding of design research, ideation, and prototyping.
• • Curiosity about 3D, motion, and AI-assisted design.
• • Collaborative, adaptable, proactive, and open to feedback.
